FROM THE MANAGER

Sharathon is winding down.  I say that because we are still receiving pledge forms.  Fifteen new ones came in this weekend.  Our listeners are the greatest!  Our new year of broadcasting is underway.  Once again I am impressed with the willingness of brothers and sisters to stand behind this faith ministry as they do.

The numbers tell us that our 24th year should be a very good year.  There was some concern with the economy like it is if we could see a victory but we have.   When we went back to regular programming on Wednesday our audience had committed to $235,000 toward our annual budget.  This included pre-sharathon and live sharathon contacts.   At this point, because listeners are still checking in, we have $242,000 or 99% in pledges.  Thank you for your prayers and generous support.

I'd like to say special thanks to our Share team.  These three gentlemen helped keep our audience up and positive during some very challenging hours.  We actually  slipped behind last years giving trend for a while and the last day was the best day in terms of total contributions we have ever had.  Even though they were challenged by the distance from the goal they kept us enthusiastically looking to make each plateau on the way up.  Todd, Neil and John you're an important part of our radio family.

The missionary project we choose again this year was HCJB's "Turn Your Radio On" campaign which provides pre-tuned radios to villagers in Africa so they can hear their local Christian radio outlet.  Because of your gifts to WCIF we in turn have shared with people who could never afford to have a radio of their own.  Each radio is solar-powered and can receive only the one station.  Very often families and entire villages gather to hear the Gospel in their local dialect.  As the result of Sharathon we are able to send 235 radios to a qualified area where there is great need.  Pray for their impact and the fruitfulness of  "our" radios.

Closer to home pray as people listen to WCIF and are confronted with their need and God's provision.   We never know how the Word is impacting the community or how God is dealing with lives through each song and message but we know if you had  not taken time to help us we would not be here to help thousands who could enter the kingdom this year as a result of the broadcasts.  As for you May God Bless you in a special way as you listen to what you have made possible by standing with us.  May you learn something new about your Lord and may He encourage you and bring you joy in what you hear.

DURING THIS TIME OF CONFLICT
A Message from Insight for Living.

The soft whisper of a morning breeze often goes undetected, but a thunderstorm's gale is harder to miss. Just as changing winds vary, so can our fear. We may have unsettled butterflies in our stomachs, or we may dread turning on the evening news. Fear would paralyze our lives, but we turn to the One who sees the invisible.

When I am afraid,
I will put my trust in You.

In God, whose word I praise,
in God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can mere man do to me?
(Psalm 56:3-4)

Dear Heavenly Father,

In days of uncertainty, I'm tempted to give way to fear. Help me to remember that You are the One in control of my days. I trust that You will protect me and provide for those I love, like the Shepherd who cares for each of His sheep.   I  take comfort in knowing that You hold my life in the palm of Your hand, and therefore I will not fear as I trust in You.

You can visit the Department of Defense web page and sign a brief message thanking the men and women of the U.S. military services for defending freedom. The compiled list of names will be sent out to our soldiers at the end of the month.  www.defendamerica.mil/nmam.html

MELBOURNE - I go to sleep with the station on and first thing I do in the morning after Thanking God for keeping me throughout the night, and asking for His guidance throughout the day, I switch on the Radio Station and it's on all day in the house and car when out driving it's so good to be always in touch with God.

MERRITT ISLAND - Please pray for my husband's salvation.  Keep playing the beautiful Worship music!

PALM BAY - Thank you for years of enrichment and enjoyment!

MELBOURNE - We moved here about 18 months ago and I found your station by accident.  It has been such a blessing to me, especially at a time when I moved from family and didn't know anyone in the area, it helped me through my day.

MELBOURNE - Your station keeps me focused (on the way to work & back home daily) on the importance of talking to Christ anytime & all the time!

MERRITT ISLAND - Your broadcast blesses me and many others of all the hours of the day, during Christian music, most of all the good Bible lessons & scripture.  Thank You!
