This year's Sharathon was a real blessing in so many ways. Each year as we invite the Share team to be with us we are treated to the company of Mel Johnson, Todd Isberner and Neil Stavem. |
Their insights and encouragement help us respond to the need in a proper manner. They never talk down to us as listeners or make us feel guilty about our pledges. They treat our audience with respect as we feel the Lord would.
One of the most impressive aspects of the campaign is the number of people who volunteer to help in any way they can. Many times during the three days I'll step back and watch as the phones are being answered and as our helpers are sharing their enthusiasm and gratitude with the person on the line. You can tell this is their cause, they want the victory! They help keep us strong to the finish.
This year had the added blessing of the day of praise and testimony. We had never done it this way before and it was time we did. It felt so good to stop what we were normally about and lift our voices to the Lord. This was one of the most impressive times of the campaign. I hope you listened in and if you called in, thank you for helping us see what God is doing through WCIF. We received confirmation that the Lord is using the broadcast in real life situations. It was impressive to hear how God led someone to Himself through such things as what was said during previous Sharathons. We heard how brothers and sisters were growing as Christians and their churches were benefiting. Some of those who called simply blessed me by what the Lord was teaching them at the time. Their statements were just what I needed at the time to be lifted up and meet the challenge of the new year we have begun.
During our short two days of fund-raising we saw our entire community respond and by the end we had nearly caught up with what we normally would have expected to raise in three days. At this time we have twenty weeks underwritten by day sponsors. This is the most we have ever had. All of this with a shortened time for pledges and more time spent in just praising the Lord together.
There was something for and something from everyone as we all took part in Sharathon 1999. Our twentieth year of broadcasting will take us in to the twenty-first century. We have seen God working and know that we can expect Him to see us through. Our thanks to those who will be helping this year. And if you were not able to respond yet, as the Lord gives you opportunity we would still like to hear from you and can use the help.

PALM BAY - God bless you all at WCIF for keeping the Word out there on the radio. I'm sure you help strengthen the faith of many. Keep up the good work.
COCOA BEACH - Praying for Sharathon 1999 and renewing my annual pledge with the enclosed check. May God bless each and every one of you with continued success in reaching out to so many with the Good Word!
INDIAN HARBOR BEACH - Thanks for all the good programs and music. Thanks for the excellent helps that special speakers bring to us. Thanks for being a strong Christian messenger in this area.
VERO BEACH - As much as I would like to contribute at this time, I am a recent widow and my finances have been drastically reduced. My husband of 51 years died in September. I have been lifted up and carried by Christ and His people. I thank Jesus and The Father every hour of the day. God bless WCIF for the stronger station.
INDIAN HARBOR BEACH - Good luck with the Sharathon. It will be a wonderful time with all the guests that will be with you. I'm looking forward to the big day. Just me and my radio.
PALM BAY - Enclosed are my Sharathon contributions for 1998 and 1999. I wrote the first check last April, but it was never sent. Thank you for your letter and pledge card that has made it easy to send both contributions. WCIF has been very timely with the Word and music in my life. Both have spoken to my heart and helped me through some difficult situations. At specific times when I heard the words or the speaker or the words of a song, I knew, at that precise moment, God was reaching out to me and telling me to keep trusting Him- His love and great power would bring the answers to those situations. And He did! Thank you and keep up the good work.
MELBOURNE - Dear WCIF friends, Sorry that we missed the Sharathon. Please be assured that after all these years we have not abandoned you. We will continue with our monthly pledge. We continue to pray for you daily.
ALLENTOWN, PA - Please accept the enclosed check with my prayers for the success of the Sharathon. I am sending it in honor of my almost 91 year old mother, who lives in Palm Bay, and receives such a blessing from your programs. Thank you also for the beautiful calendars that you sent, they are much appreciated.
INDIALANTIC - Happy 19th Birthday WCIF! Your station and personnel are a daily feeding of the Word.
PALM BAY - I enjoy most all of your programs. I like the music old and new and I especially like "Homeward Bound". Keep up the good work.
INDIALANTIC - Enclosed is our check. This is a renewal pledge and starting in April we will be increasing our pledge. This is in honor of our grandchildren. God bless you all. God is great PTL!
TITUSVILLE - So glad you have the transmitter operational. You are now coming in reliably and clear, even in the house, (before we could only receive you in the car). Nightsounds and Sounds of Majesty are our favorites, but we also appreciate your "mellow" music selections. God Bless.
MELBOURNE - The recent boost in wattage has greatly imporoved the reception out here in Viera. We especially like the news and the music.
PALM BAY - I got saved because of WCIF.
VERO BEACH - I love the extra power. Actually all of your program-ming is great.
WEST MELBOURNE - I receive so much from your programs and music. Was surprised to receive your station so clearly in St. Cloud recently. Made the trip on 192 more enjoyable!
INDIALANTIC - We had a New Jersey Christian church. When we were transferred here last year we were upset to leave their station. We're so happy to have found WCIF.
MICCO - Thank you!
PALM BAY - Your through-the -night broadcasting was such a blessing when I was hospitalized for two and a half months this past summer. The doctors and nurses couldn't get over my positive attitude and peace in spite of being desperately ill. My little borrowed walkman saved my sanity by bringing in WCIF.
PALM BAY - WCIF fills my heart with joy. I pray for the station.
TITUSVILLE - Our reception has greatly improved. I listened to 106.3 all the way to Kissimmee last week.
PALM BAY - It's so easy to take this Christian radio station for granted, but when I think what it would be like without WCIF I realize how important it is for my family to help support you.
MELBOURNE BEACH - We appreciate all of WCIF. It is so needed today. The music, children's programs are rich nuggets of truth for every age. We never get too old to enjoy God's truth through God's people. Thank you for your service to Him and to us listeners.
