  • PRAY FOR SHARATHON - MARCH 3, 4, & 5 - Entrusted with the Gospel

Please fill out this form and give us your feedback about our ministry. We would love to hear from you!

    From the Manager
    Lee J. Martinez
Lee Martinez What are the events of your life you most remember? Whatever they are they probably help you mark the progress of your life. WCIF has progressed through 17 years and in the events of that progression there have been a few sad events as well as many happy ones.
We are at a point of mixed blessing. As we approach our seventeenth anniversary and the SHARATHON which traditionally goes along with that date we are excited! We look forward to a great celebration and commissioning as we receive pledges for the next year of operation. I say it is a mixed blessing because one of our "family" members will be missing. Jack has decided to pursue another career. We couldn't get him to repent and he is going to be missed by all of us, listener and staff alike.

One of Jack's favorite speakers is Steve Brown whose program Key Life aired during Jack's shift. I remember Steve saying frequently, "God isn't mad at you". If you really think about it isn't that what we are all about? We are here to tell others about the God who loves them. Most people have the feeling that if there is a God, He would have to be displeased with them. We are justified in thinking that because we have not performed in a way that would satisfy God. Then we see how much God loves us and realize our relationship to God is based on His performance and not our own. "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life", reminds us and anyone who will hear it, "God isn't mad at you".

As ambassadors, (2 Cor 5:20) we are here to represent our most gracious, holy, kind and loving God. Christian radio is one of the most effective ways to inform our world since a person can listen to what we say in privacy and weigh the evidence against what he sees in the world around him. The world around him will include Christians living their faith through the grace and mercy of God. The faithful are in turn supported and encouraged by the Word and fellow believers. WCIF is here to provide that encourage- ment and support on behalf of our Christian community. We are here to be of service to the seeker and the saint.

Even we who have already heard of God's love need the reminders we hear each day on WCIF. If we miss our daily contact with the Lord, we could end up like the couple who had gone for counseling. One of the wife's complaints was that the husband never said he loved her. His answer was, "I told her I loved her when we were married, if that changes I'll let her know". We all know once is not enough. God has to constantly remind us and He does so in life and in His Word. Each day we must be refreshed from the Lord, that is our makeup. WCIF has that opportunity and goal. And thanks to your support we can continue to seek the best for our listeners for another year. Please take an active part beginning with SHARATHON 1997. It will be conducted March 3, 4 & 5. And as much as you can count on us during the year we are counting on you to give us a good start.

MERRITT ISLAND - Thank you so very much for the wonderful gift of Christmas music. I never tire of the old Christmas carols and appreciate the fact that last year and this year you did not stop the Christmas music when Christmas Day ended. I have the radio on all night too and enjoy your connection with the Moody Network, especially since we both attended MBI . . . We were wondering which gentleman in the Christmas Photo is Jack? We really enjoy him in the mornings. You may send us the answerby e-mail if you like.

PALM BAY - I continue to be blessed by the programs, and I pray for the safe operation of your equipment. God bless you all.

MELBOURNE - I've enjoyed your station for two and a half years-since my "Christian birthday". 2 Cor. 5:17 Thank you for giving what no other radio station comes close to offering.
