From the Manager

As we prepare for Sharathon we once again look back at the last twelve months noting how God has used WCIF and how He has continued to make it possible for us to operate. We have come through a financially challenging year with all the expenses paid! If you have ever had a tight month with your finances remember the feeling when it was over. The importance of the message we broadcast is so great that any threat to remaining intact seems to be magnified. You want it to work at any cost! What we always need to remember is that this is God's work and He is the source of our message and the resource for our needs. I say "our" but we all know we are laboring in His field, on His harvest. He is graciously giving us a part in His eternal plan. Everything we do and everything you help us do has eternal significance. This is one of the realities we might hurry by in our busy world.
We want you to slow down with us for a few days early in March. It is time for what we could call remembrance and repair. On Monday, March 8 we need to bring our audience with us to a stop. A rest in the action so that we can look up and give God the credit He deserves. We have the phone lines and the airtime open for your praises to the Lord and for your prayer requests. That is the repair side helping you deal with your concerns. The following two days we want to bring to your attention so we can get the attention of our community for the entire year. In those two short days with your help we will be  asking you our listener to make your faith evident by pledging your help to WCIF for the next twelve months of operation.
You will probably be amazed at how rewarding your listening time is during these days! These are exciting faith stretching days as everyone who calls adds something of significance to our 25th year of broadcasting and I'm speaking of more than finances. Gifts to us are like gifts to the community as you make God's Word available at the touch of a button to a world that seems to get darker and more confusing to your neighbors. This is the real neighborhood watch.
So spend some time with us listening March 8-10 and take a few minutes to talk to some very friendly volunteers who will be here to record your
pledge for the coming year. God Bless your efforts! Let your light
shine!
Lee J. Martinez

A single beam of light can change the face of a landscape - much like the entrance of Christ into the heart changes pursuits, purposes and desires.
