CONGRATULATIONS
TO
LEE MARTINEZ
AS HE CELEBRATES 20 YEARS AS
WCIF GENERAL MANAGER!
It's with great joy we share with
you some of the letters that have been received to congratulate Lee Martinez
as he celebrates his 20th anniversary as WCIF General Manager on May 23,
2003.
Dear Lee,
Congratulations on this milestone in your ministry
at WCIF. It has been a real privilege to know you as a "boss", a co-laborer
and a friend for these many years. Had it not been for you, I would not
have had the opportunity
to be involved in Christian radio. You saw the
desire of my heart and worked with me to develop the talents that the Lord
has given me. I truly owe much to you. Thank you for your patience and
your wisdom.
Please know of my sincere respect, love and appreciation
for your family and you. My prayer is that the Lord will provide many fruitful
years ahead for you as you continue to serve Him. Your friend in Christ,
Ron

Lee, I have work with you for more than 5 years
as a volunteer, and then as a Radio Council member. I am impressed
with the fact that your main desire is to serve the Lord. May God
continue to bless and prosper you, your wife Joanna, and the rest of your
family. You have been a blessing to me as well as the staff and the
many volunteers of WCIF.
Yours in Christ,
John Norczyk, WCIF Council Member
Lee Martinez has been an example of servant leadership
to the South Brevard community for two decades now. Lee has cheerfully
and effectively advanced the ministry of WCIF to the glory of God and the
blessing of the church. What a gift he has proven to be to all of us on
the Space Coast who love the gospel!!
Sincerely, Dan Hendley,
Pastor, Covenant Presbyterian Church
Speaker on the Bible and Life
Deat Lee;
I join the many others who just want to congratulate
you on your tenure at WCIF. You have been a faithful servant and we have
enjoyed the continuing programs since the birth of the station. And also
your comments
in the monthly newsletter. And your faithful
leadership in our Associational work for Brevard Co. Your good staff at
the station has been a blessing, also. Keep up the good work. for the Lord
. On our recent trip to St. Louis and my sister's funeral, we heard many
Christian stations, but none come up to WCIF in our opinion. Sincerely,
Leland and Bette Hall

Lee,
So this is your WCIF vicennial? For a man
with no vices, it's hard to believe. Seriously, I am not surprised. This
is the natural conclusion, for someone who exhibits such extraordinary
fidelity in all his relationships. God bless you, Lee. WCIF and its
listeners are the richer for your leadership.

Dear Lee,
What an honor it is for me to wish you a happy
20th anniversary as General Manager of WCIF. You and I enjoy what I like
to call, "a conventional relationship".. .. we see each other at NRB (National
Religious Broadcaster) Conventions! Your quick smile and servant spirit
always bring a sense of peace to your friends and co-workers. When I served
as President of South Eastern National Religious Broadcasters it was always
a delight to see you and your wife attend the convention. The ministry
of WCIF is indeed blessed to have enjoyed your leadership over these last
20 years. The days and years ahead will certainly be more exciting and
steady thanks to your ongoing commitment.
Your friend in Christ,
Joe Emert
President, WMVV Griffin, GA
Dear Lee,
On behalf of the entire team at Blue Ridge Broadasting,
we pass along our best wishes at this exciting milestone of your twentieth
anniversary. We thank God for your passion for Him and His Word, for your
diligence in serving Him faithfully each and every day, and for your vision
for WCIF and reaching the people in your listening area with the gospel
message of Jesus Christ. It is always exciting to know fellow broadcasters
who really do have a heart for changing lives in this day and age in which
we live. It is my prayer that God will give you many more years of service.
Congratulations my Friend!

Dear Lee,
As we enjoy April's showers and anticipate May's
flowers, let me throw you a "bouquet" and join those who will be congratulating
you on completing 20 years of service as manager of radio station WCIF
in Melbourne, FL. It has been my pleasure to know you for most of those
years as your network representative here at Moody Broadcasting Network.
While you began your tenure at WCIF in May of
1983, I joined MBN Network Development in September of 1984 and we've kept
in touch on a variety of matters every since. All along, I have counted
it a pleasure and learning experience each time we have had the opportunity
to meet - usually at the National Religious Broadcaster's Conventions from
year to year, or more frequently by telephone. I want to comment you for
the leadership you have provided over these 20- years at WCIF, and you
have served His Kingdom well! Thank you for the partnership
we have shared via satellite since February 24, 1989 between WCIF and MBN.
. and of course dating back even further via tape from Moody Broadcasting
Services. I also understand from our Moody Bible Institute's Alumni Department
that May 2003 also marks your 30th anniversary of graduating from Moody
Bible Institute in 1973. So on behalf of all of us here at Moody, congratulations
on this significant milestone. I pray that God will richly bless
you as you continue to rise up and meet the challenges and opportunities
of the coming years.
Sincerely in His Service,
David P. Woodworth
Administrator, Technical Development Moody Broadcasting
Network
Dear Brother Lee,
Congratulations on achieving a tremendous milestone
- twenty years "at the helm" of WCIF. I recall when you told me about those
early days in the 1980's - how exciting it was to see the Lord move as
He did. Truly, WCIF had been your calling and your opportunity to serve
the Lord Jesus. You know Lee, twenty years as manager of a Christian Radio
station says a few things. IT testifies to the faithfulness of Christ,
and testifies to your faithfulness in using your God-given abilities. Every
day as the broadcasting goes forth, the Lord uses the programming for His
Glory (Isa. 55:10). Al the effort will be more than worth it on the day
when we hear the Lord say "Well done my good and faithful servant." As
I prepared to write this letter, I paused to pray for you. I thanked the
Lord for you and prayed that the Lord will fill you with the joy of your
ministry. If it is His will, I will see you in Charlotte - so if you arrive
at the Tuesday banquet first, hold a chair at the table for me so we can
renew our friendship.
Sincerely,
George Vacca,
Manager WPGM AM FM, Danville, PA
Dear Lee,
Happy 20th Anniversary! "Lee is wonderful." That's
what on of the notes in my database says and it's the truth. Other notes
of our phone calls and visits from the past decade and beyond say the same
thing. You really area wonderful, godly man. You were so kind to Larry
Burkett, and to me, when we visited WCIF in 1992. I still remember the
cramped offices you worked in so cheerfully. God has richly blessed you,
and the fine ministry
where you serve Him so faithfully. I remember
how you welcomed the preaching of the gospel of others in your area in
a way that truly put Christ first, proving your slogan "Where Christ Is
First" is not merely empty talk. I have personally seen you at many gatherings
of National Religious Broadcasters and you have always been a courteous
man of integrity. It is an honor to serve the risen Savior with you, Lee.
We will not forget you many kindnesses. May God honor you, as you continue
to honor him.

.
It's a long way to Tipperary!" But actually a
longer way from WAVO-AM to WCIF-FM - and you and your precious partner
have traveled it skillfully and obediently. What an influence you have
had on others during your 20 years in broadcasting. How you have aided
ministries as you helped them fulfill their objective of telling others
about Jesus. And then have been directly responsible for getting Christ's
message into the marketplace on a massive scale. It ain't ever easy doing
all that - cause that's the way it is. But, oh, it's sure worth it. I commend
you on your 20th anniversary in broadcasting at WCIF. What a gift you and
your sweet wife have placed
before the Lord. And what a friend you have been
through the years and so important to what we do here at Peachtree Media.
Nancy felt a special connection with both of you, and I will never forget
the gracious kindness
you always showed her. I don't like having to
put this on you at this time of celebration and recognition - but you know
you're only half way there, don't you? You've got another 20 to go but
I'm not going to be here to
watch. I'm confident that the next 20 will be
even more productive for the Lord and His kingdom than the first 20. You
know the way now and will be much more effective. You have always been
"one of the good guys" - and it always shows.
Norman Plunkett,
Peachtree Media Atlanta, Georgia
It is not the one who starts well but the one
who finishes well that wins the prize. Twenty years has gone by quickly
and congratulations for "Staying by the stuff". We know there have been
times of battles and blessings. I trust you have learned that the most
dangerous times are not the "blessing of the battle" but the "battle of
the blessing". We trust God has taught you and will continue to teach you
of His faithfulness in the
years ahead until He comes for us. Let keep captivating
these tools of mass communications to touch the lives of many each day
who are searching for Truth. May this be a special day and will encourage
you and your wife as
you serve Him. Psalm 26.

Lee, it seems such a short time ago that you and
your family came to visit WCIF and First Baptist. Without a doubt,
you felt a calling to WCIF and this area. This community has responded
to WCIF in a mighty way, souls have been won to Christ, spirits have been
lifted, and lonely people comforted even in the wee hours of the night.
You have never wavered nor sacrificed the quality
of Christian programming for the sake of a few but prayed for guidance
in selecting programs and music that would be pleasing to God. Your
steadfastness has made a mark on this community for WCIF. You are
truly a brother in Christ. God bless you and your family in the coming
years.

Dear Lee:
From all of us at CBH Ministries our heartiest
CONGRATULATIONS on your twenty years as General Manager of WCIF! I personally
appreciate the many years (all 20 of your managering years if memory serves
me right) you have carried our programs: First, "Children's Bible Hour,"
then adding "Keys for Kids" and now "Down Gilead Lane." Only eternity will
reveal all that has been accomplished because you have a heart for the
children in your radio audience, and allow us to work with you, giving
us a voice for our programs. God bless you...and if Jesus tarries
His coming, may you have many more years of fruitful service to our faithful
Lord!
