 I have many
great memories of our time as students at Moody Bible Institute. One, which
comes to mind at this time, was while waiting in line at the snack bar. It was
always a privilege when one of our professors had time to speak to us but this
time it was the president, Dr. Sweeting himself in line with us. He had just asked how we were doing and one person in our group commented, "God has been sooo good to me." To which Dr. Sweeting commented, "Well if He hadn't, you would be the first!" That stuck with me even to this day. There is no one who has never felt God's grace! In fact if you really begin to think about it you are safely at this point in your life because of His help and mercy. Through everything He has been there for you and me. Just think, you are always on His mind. You always have His attention! James 1:17 reminds us that God keeps His eyes focused on us (no shadow of turning). He is never distracted or has to put us on hold. Only God can do that or would want to! Can you name anyone else who has that much interest or time to care for your needs? His mercy endures forever! I really feel that you are in the sound of WCIF's broadcast because God cares for you. His Word brings life, can guide our path, brings comfort, instruction and inspires. What better way to make it available than to have it clear every barrier and distraction and make it available by tuning across your radio dial? There are so many that have said God came to their rescue though something programmed on WCIF. I just heard of how God had used a portion of music programming and one of our speakers to minister to a family member who really needed to know there is hope and a future for them. God knew exactly when His encouragement could get through and made sure it was available. All the while making sure this same segment of programming was ministering to everyone else who was listening for whatever reason! Do you know anyone else who could coordinate that!? Help us pray for those who will be listening for whatever reason. God knows why they listen and when. That includes you. Your favorite speaker, your most encouraging songs can keep you from poor choices and petty thoughts and help you pay attention to what is real and has lasting value.
