    FROM THE MANAGER
    Lee Martinez
Lee Martinez Our fundraising efforts on behalf of South Brevard Habitat for Humanity did well. The on-air campaign was conducted Thursday September 27, from 7 am to 7pm. Dr. Larry Bazer and Lee Martinez conducted most of the live broadcast which featured a number of guests.

Our fundraising efforts on behalf of South Brevard Habitat for Humanity did well. The on-air campaign was conducted Thursday September 27, from 7 am to 7pm. Dr. Larry Bazer and Lee Martinez conducted most of the live broadcast which featured a number of guests. The guest list included two candidate families waiting for homes to be built for them, a number of local pastors, leaders with Habitat and the family that received the house we campaigned for last year.

By 7 p.m. our listeners had pledged $35,000 toward the next house. Two of the pastors who came to answer phones on behalf of Habitat have indicated their congregations will probably team up with one or two other churches and build their own Habitat homes! Most of the 260 pledges were from first time contributors to Habitat. Overall the campaign was very successful. Our thanks to those who took the extra effort to help see that the area churches were well represented. This was announced as a special cooperative effort of the Christian community. You did well!

Remember to make any pledge amounts out to South Brevard Habitat to Humanity not to WCIF. Please remember the station in your giving as well. This was not intended as an either or campaign. Last year we came up nearly $10,000 short of normal contributions in the two months following our efforts for Habitat. I'm sure God has the resources in the hands of His people to take care of both needs.

    Fundraising for Habitat for Humanity

Every year faith ministries deal with the ups and downs of unpredictable summer contributions. We learn to tighten our belts and wait for better days, like a farmer waiting for rain.

It's always been our policy to spread a table before you, such as quality music and challenging as well as uplifting messages. A kind of buffet if you will that lasts 24 hours a day 7 days a week. And yes, it's an all you can eat, dig in and enjoy commitment with prime speakers and choice messages. What is sometimes hard to grasp is how we can continue to do this so consistently.

Sometimes, especially in the summer and early fall, our expenses overrun our contributions. Sometimes, especially in the summer and early fall, we wonder if all the Christian principles are being digested, including the giving and receiving of blessings. There will never be a check to pay here. Faith means we trust God (and His people). God will always do the right thing. So will His people if they listen to Him. What may be invisible to us is clear to the Lord. If it's His intention that we scrape through certain seasons of the year that's okay but we just thought we should mention what we see might be an inconsistency. We always want for everyone the welcome sign that says, "Come and Dine".

    Letters

SATELLITE BEACH - I thank the Lord every day for I keep my radio on the Christian station all the time. Loving all you at the station.

PALM BAY - I thank God for WCIF - it is a joy listening to all the programs. God is with you all and I am also comforted and blessed. Enclosed is a small offering. Thank you for the newsletter.

PALM BAY - May God continue to bless you all and the work you are doing. I enjoy reading the Newsletter and listening to the music. Enclosed is a small gift.

COCOA BEACH - How I enjoy your programs every day. I'm listening right this minute to "Nicholai" from Left Behind series. Praise God, His message goes forth every day from your station. I believe the Father wants us to support that which "feeds" us, and you do daily. God bless you.

MELBOURNE - I have been listening to WCIF more and have been blessed by the Word and music. I thank WCIF Please pray for me. There are areas in my life I want God to change. I pray He will give me strength and wisdom and your prayers will be appreciated. Again WCIF is a blessing to me and this area. P.S. Enclosed offering for Christian Radio.

INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH - Thank you for your faithful ministry in bringing our community some of the most beautiful music and praise songs as well as inspirational and informative messages. I thank God for you all and for the light you shine in our darkening world. May our Lord bless you dearly and mightily and always keep you in His care.

PALM BAY: Greetings in the name of our dear Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Please accept the small gift of $. May the good Lord bless you all. Keep up the good work.

MELBOURNE - God continues to bless us and provide for us. I think my pledge was for $. Keep up the good work. May God richly bless you always.

WEST MELBOURNE - I am writing to tell you that I enjoy listening to WCIF. Since moving to this area there is one thing I miss very much, and that is "Hank Hannegraf" the Bible Answer Man. If you would consider Hank I am sure listener reception would be great, and this would be an opportunity to spread the gospel, as many, many non-Christians listen to this program. Thanks for your consideration. God Bless.

COCOA BEACH: C.S. Lewis said "We need to know we are not alone". I feel like that when I turn on WCIF. No matter what mood I am in - just one turn - and I am surrounded by brothers and sisters. Awesome! Thank you so much. God bless you and keep you.

VIRGINIA BEACH - Hello from sunny (and shark-infested) Virginia Beach! We've been here nearly 3 months and have really missed WCIF. Enclosed is our day sponsorship check - and lots of prayers and praise for you all and the WCIF ministry!

MELBOURNE - God bless all of you for your great work! Keep it coming! So many are being blessed. My car radio is always on 106.3 so when someone else uses my car (like one of our family members) there it is! Thank the Lord for your good, Christian judgment in programming! We appreciate you!

SATELLITE BEACH - Thank you so much for your ministry to the Melbourne area. We have benefited greatly. Our favorites are Thru the Bible, Insight for Living and Tony Evans' The Urban Alternative. We are moving to Chantilly, VA and hope and pray we have a Christian station there who faithfully presents the gospel as you do.
