Lee Martinez You might want to put a reminder on your calendar. As we have in the past WCIF will participate in Clergy Appreciation Month this October.
We in conjunction with Focus on the Family will help you take time to encourage those special people who have committed themselves to serve you through your local church.

Everyone needs encouragement. It makes their daily tasks easier.. This is true of all ages from children to the elderly. Each of us has the privilege of being able to lift someone else's spirit. In order to do that we have to make a conscious effort to step up and say or do something to brighten another persons day. Based on some of the letters Focus has received from grateful ministers, their day was not only brightened by a kindness done them but in many instances God used this method to revitalize a waning ministry. There were letters from discouraged, lonely, ministers whose congregations restored their commitment by letting them know it was worthwhile to go on. They were encouraged to find what they said or what they did had impressed and challenged others in the Christian life.

Too often we feel those who serve the Lord in our congregation must surely know what impact they have. Surely God blesses and rewards them openly. What we sometimes fail to realize is how effectively the devil uses that to keep us from being a blessing and keep us from recharging someone's batteries at an important time in their life. Any and every loving act makes us come out from ourselves and share something of ourselves. Most of the time it's worth it just to see how much it means to someone to be appreciated. It's a healthy thing to do.

To plan effectively for October we need to start now. Some of the suggestions will require forethought and get others involved. Throughout the month of August we will make announcements produced by Focus on the Family to remind you of the resources available to help you and your church plan effectively for a great event which could become a nice habit.

As in the past WCIF will set time aside for you to phone in and record an announcement or note of appreciation for your pastor or staff . Pastors could do this for a staff member.

If this would be of interest to you why not take time now to write something up so when you call you can use the time most effectively and say just what you want to say. Be listening for the times we will be recording. Once we have the announcements and comments we will begin to air them and use them as frequently as possible. Make a difference, tell someone on your churches.

    Letters

    INDIALANTIC Thanks for your program.

MELBOURNE Thanks for making our visiting Pastor from Scotland Pastor of the week. He sure can preach. Keep up the good work.

MELBOURNE Here is my pledge for June and July 1997. Still enjoy all the programming that I get to hear around my work day. I have really enjoyed the new announcer (Scott Terry). I like his Christian attitude and his choice of music in the morning! He will surely do well for WCIF.

WEST MELBOURNE Your radio is such a blessing to me. It gives me such peace, just knowing God's word is there for me 24 hours a day. God Bless you all.

WEST MELBOURNE Enclosed is my pledge for July, Aug. and Sept. Keep up the good work. Welcome to Scott Terry. Listen daily enjoy Chuck Swindoll and others.

INDIALANTIC I appreciate your station very much --both programs and music. I will contribute as I am able to do so. Many thanks.

WABASSO We are receiving three newsletters each month. Please cancel these two enclosed. Also - we cannot get your station in Wabasso - sure miss it.

PALM BAY We continue to enjoy your ministry and to pray for you daily. Please pray for my husband as he recovers from 2 cataract surgeries and an injured shoulder caused by a fall. Thank you for your programs and prayers.

MELBOURNE I like the new young man - Scott - God Bless You, keep you in His will.

MELBOURNE I started listening to your radio station about one year ago, and I want to thank you for your wonderful programs and music. Some of my favorite programs are Focus on the Family, Insight for Living, New Dimensions and Money Watch. I've also recently began receiving your newsletter which I enjoy reading, and the program schedule in it has helped me to know when certain segments will be on, and what the topic will be. I'm enclosing a small one time donation to help a little bit with the cost of keeping the station on the air, and the cost of putting together and mailing out the newsletter and programming schedule. Keep up the good work you are doing, and please keep my name in your mailing list for the newsletter and programming schedule. God bless you.

MELBOURNE I try to keep up my pledge the best I can. I enjoy WCIF every evening, night and early a.m. I have a friend who lives on Leeward Bluff off Croton Road and she does not receive WCIF. Is there some reason? I feel sad about this. Thank you.

PALM BAY Thanks be to God for work. When I pledged in April, I knew that my assignment would case very soon but faith allowed me to participate. That's the reason for the delay. Please pray for me.

INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH A lot of prayer has been answered. Martha is home after a successful mission trip to Brazil. Scott has been hired in Jack's place and seems to be doing a good job. I am still praying for land and the licenses for more power. I really miss you when you are off the air. This month I am focusing my prayers on your families. Too often we just leave them out. They, too, have a burden to bear. I am also praying that each of you and the radio council will seek God's Will before any decision is made. You need His Wisdom from the daily programming to the newsletter. I also know you face adversity some of the time. I pray God will uphold you in these matters. Love and prayers.

INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH Thank you. I am so thankful for WCIF Radio.

PALM BAY Hold on my child joy comes in the morning. Weeping may endure for just a night. Hold on my child, joy comes in the morning. The darkest hour is just before the dawn. God Bless all at WCIF. I will keep praying that the station remain strong that men will know that God is coming soon. God bless.

MELBOURNE Thanks for your precious newsletters and programs. Here is some money to help you stay on the radio. A listener.

PALM BAY In this crazy mixed-up world we live in, thank God for the sanity that comes from the airwaves of your station. I always hear exactly what I need to hear every time I listen to WCIF. I love the music, programming and especially Charles Stanley! I'm getting two newsletters - one for Faydra Roma and one for Faydra DeMeo…same address. I recently married and my name is now Faydra Roma, same address. Enclosed is a small amount; wish it could be more. I get so very much peace and contentment from within when I hear God's word on your station.

PALM BAY As usual I continue to be blessed with the programs - music, teachings and weather update. My health is not so good lately but I am trusting in the good God, WCIF lets me know He is always here with me. Please pray for me as I continue to pray for you all. God Bless you.

MELBOURNE I'm enjoying that mountain music here and there and the programming of David and Scott. It makes up a nice family for you I'm sure. I'm remembering WCIF in my prayers and wish I could do more financially. Yours because we're His.

SEBASTIAN Last Tuesday and Wednesday at just after midnight, I turned on my radio in order to listen to Dr. and Mrs. Don Cole. I heard the first announcement and then Dr. Cole said we are talking about king Ahaz. After that the station went off the air. I tried several times, but nothing. I know when the severe thunder-storms come, we often have no electric and I'm sure that this was not the case. If you will kindly make sure our new men that work at the station, are informed not to turn off the station, because there are some of us that enjoy learning from Dr. Cole. I would appreciate any help you can give me, I some-times have problems sleeping…due to some of our noisy neighbors, but I thank God for your station, and it's such a comfort to me. Especially when we hear the old hymns. We don't care for the contemporary music at all. It seems that we are trying to be worldly. I guess I'm just old fashioned. I do thank God for this station, I wouldn't know what we'd do without it. I did try to call but it's very hard to get through at times. Please keep up the good work, I do pray for you all. (This is not for publication). Thank you and God bless you.

SATELLITE BEACH It is a great pleasure to forward the enclosed check for sponsorship of Thursday, September 4, 1997, our 43rd wedding anniversary. Each day that WCIF is on the air is always a blessing to us, but it is also even more special for us to be able to share our personal joy and thanksgiving on "our' day with all your other listeners. May God continue to use and bless each one of you - and WCIF - in a mighty way.
